Lake Michigan - Hurricane Sandy
My family and I had heard rumors of huge waves out on Lake Michigan in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Like most any photographer, I had to go and check it out! There was no way I was going to pass on the opportunity to capture images of 20ft waves! Although I did not see any 20ft waves, there were definitely some big ones.
It was quite difficult to get good shots with 50mph winds and rain but I what I could in a hurry. It was very, VERY cold so I tried to be quick. Looking back, I should have probably assumed it would be much colder at the lake and dressed for the weather a little better but ... well, I was on a mission and was not thinking clearly.
Seeing Double - Oct. Family Pictures
This was such a fun family session. I met April and her family out at her grandparents house. The location was simply beautiful and made for a fabulous backdrop for a fun fall session.
And seriously these girls could not have been more adorable!!
Ashley, Brian and Family - Oct. 2012
I have been taking picture of this family since little Nathan was just a baby. It has been so much fun watching him grow and now we have the addition of baby Charlotte!

Charlotte Ann - Newborn
My cousin Brian and his wife Ashley ... does that make her my cousin-in-law? ... welcomed their brand new baby girl into the world Sept. 5th, 2012. She is absolutely person in every way. 5 Fingers. 5 Toes. Chubby little cheeks. And simply cute as can be.
They grow so fast and I adore those little tiny baby feet so this image here was a must. Little Charlie's feet in comparison to her big brothers.
Picture perfect ... it just doesn't get much sweetier than that.

Congratulations again on the birth of baby Charlie. I am excited to watch her grow!

Welcome Baby Charlotte
Charlotte Ann came into the world on Sept. 5th, 2012. Since this was a schedule c-section, Ashly wanted it schedule for Sept. 6th. Her grandfather birthday was Dec. 6th and she wanted Charlotte and her grandfather to share the same day ..
.. he passed away last year. Well, the doctors couldn't grant Ashley this wish so the 5th it was. Well, I think grandpa gave Ashley a gift from heaven ... Charlotte was born at 9:06 am. A beautiful, healthy 8 pound 5 ounce baby girl. Ashley and Brian lost 2 babies before Charlotte was born. Having lost babies myself, I could relate to the pure joy and happiness they must have been feeling upon seeing their beautiful baby girl.
Big brother Nathan was a bit confused as to how baby Charlie was no longer in mamas belly. He was somewhat curious at first, but after hearing baby cry ... he was much happier playing with his cars.
