A Day at the Park

Waking up this morning to the beautiful sunshine and warm weather was a real treat for October. I knew there wouldn't be much more opportunity to get out and enjoy fabulously wonderful days like this so we took advantage of it. We had hoped to get the whole family in on the action, however, everyone but Alyssa was "to busy" to hang with the fam so Dan, Alyssa and I headed to the park all by our lonesome.

Alyssa proudly lead us around the park, heading straight for the slides first. Shes a little diva girl that loves adventure.

Then on to the bars ... she tried her best to cross on her own but in the end, needed a bit of daddy's help to make it.

I had to get in on a little playtime too ... I can't always hide behind the camera. I have to say, I was the only one at the park running around, climbing slides, and crossing the monkey bars in 3in heels. lol Ok, maybe they weren't so practical however, they were super cute.

After the bars it was time to go for a drive ... Alyssa jumped in the drivers seat and drove us down the highway to the gas station ... I LOVE the imagination that kids have!

And oh ... who could go to the park and NOT hit the merry-go-rounds!?! Alyssa pushed me round and round as I laid on the merry-go-round trying to snap pictures as we spun. Honestly, I think my stomach is still spinning. She can push fast for a little thing.

One last time to the slides, daddy had to go first again, and we headed for home ...

Dan is super afraid of heights so getting him to go up on this slide was a difficult task. Finally, Alyssa beautiful smile and perswaysive personality convinced him. Then, after she got him to the top, she told him to sit down ... he did. With that, Alyssa gave him a big 'ole push ... down they both went.
